Year 3 have been travelling back in time to discover what life was like in the Stone Age!

The children explored the world of woolly mammoths and learnt how people survived using the natural resources around them. They got hands-on by building a fire and toasting marshmallows (from the comfort of inside the school), this was lots of fun and gave them a taste of Stone Age life.

They also became prehistoric artists, creating their own Stone Age-inspired artwork using natural materials and experimenting with spices to create different colours, textures and effects.

A fantastic way to bring history to life through creativity, exploration and plenty of memorable experiences!
