Mrs Swift, Deputy Headteacher

Mrs Swift, Deputy Headteacher, leads Curriculum and Teaching & Learning with a strong specialism in Mathematics, bringing consistently high standards and a proven record of excellent outcomes across the school. An exceptional practitioner who achieved her NPQH in 2024, Mrs Swift drives high‑quality teaching through clear modelling, strategic leadership and a commitment to continual improvement. Known for her love of musicals and theatre, she brings warmth and energy to school life — often taking a star role in the biannual staff panto!

 

 

 

Mrs Beevers, Supportive Inclusion Leader

Mrs Beevers, Inclusion Leader, is an outstanding Early Years teacher and experienced SENCO who has achieved her Masters‑level SENCO qualification. She leads with deep expertise in early childhood development and inclusion, and is currently overseeing the development of the school‑based 2‑year‑old provision, ensuring it is built on strong pedagogy, nurture and high‑quality practice. Passionate about supporting children with additional needs, she also serves as the school’s Senior Mental Health Lead, championing early intervention and whole‑school wellbeing.

 

 

Mrs Newsome, School Business Manager

Mrs Newsome, School Business Manager, is a strong and proactive leader with a proven ability to secure additional revenue for the school through skilled grant writing and strategic financial planning. Having achieved a First Class Honours degree through the apprentice levy scheme while working at BVS, she is now studying for her Masters, further strengthening her expertise in school business leadership. A committed member of the Lancashire School Business Manager’s Association (LASBM), Mrs Newsome plays a key role in ensuring the school remains financially resilient, forward‑thinking and well‑resourced.
