The week before last we were delighted to find out that Lily (Year 6) had won the Prospect Homes Art Competition. The competition was titled 'Nestle in Nature' and was open to all pupils. Pupils were asked to consider why nature was important to them.
Lily's creation was selected to appear on one of the homes hoardings on the site on Orrell Lane, Burscough. Lily and her family were invited to the opening weekend and were able to see the unveiling of the design.
Prospect Homes have also donated £100 to a nature project at our school, we plan to use the competition money on redesigning the front of the school and adding more shrubbery and bushes for the wildlife.
Mrs Porter who is the art lead for BVPS said 'I am delighted that Lily's artwork has been chosen by the team at Prospect Homes, you can see that she has thought about the final image and created something perfectly fitting for the brief - well done Lily".
