The children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 & 2 enjoyed an interactive health and hygiene session this morning.
Cathryn from Health Protection Service at Lancashire County Council kindly came into school to run the session. The children complete a handwashing activity applying litter bug gel to their hands which was then placed under a UV light. The children will then be asked to wash their hands to remove the gel and place them back in the light box to show areas of the hands they may have missed.
Their favourite part was when they discussed how far a sneeze travels and this was demonstrated by spraying the children with water! We were very impressed with how everyone engaged with the sessions and really enjoyed learning about hand hygiene.
