On Tuesday 5th March, six, Year 2 children were invited to attend the open afternoon of the Family Hub at the Grove, Burscough.
The children were shown around the facilities and then with some children from the Methodist school took part in a craft session. Upon completing their space rockets, two special visitors arrived - Huge and Harriet the Family Hub mascot bears. The children had great fun and were treated to some fresh fruit, cookies, and drinks. Everyone took part in team games including football, parachute games, and some inside tennis. When it was time to leave the children were given a Family Hub goodie bag to take home. One of the children commented, "All the activities have been a really fun afternoon".
